[mo]re than a run brings runners together during the month of Movember.
Powered by lululemon, [mo]re than a run challenges runners to raise money to fund groundbreaking men’s health initiatives in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
In 2022, 2700 runners from 165 run clubs raised more than NZD $863,000 for Movember. On November 30, 2023 thousands of runners will make that happen again – so join in and help change the face of men’s health.
The run is on Movember 25, 2024. On this day you’ll be among thousands of runners – from hundreds of run clubs across the world – who host local events to raise much-needed funds for men’s health.
To be part of the action, join a team, and then decide which one of three challenges you'll do at your local [mo]re than a run event: 10km, 30km and 60km runs.
Each distance represents an important men’s health statistic – and also ensures that runs are accessible for different fitness levels.
60km for the 60 men that die of suicide every hour around the world.
30km for the more than 30 per cent of New Zealanders who personally experienced mental distress.
10km for the one in ten men around the world living with an anxiety disorder.
It’s on Saturday, Movember 30. [mo]re than a run is a ‘decentralised’ event. That means thousands of runners host local runs on the day around the world.
