Become a Movember Community Ambassador

Movember
2 minutes read time

Movember is committed to stop men dying too young. You can help make a difference by becoming a Movember Community Ambassador.

As a Movember Community Ambassador, you’ll be embarking on an empowering and fulfilling experience that will not only change others’ lives, but yours as well. Take a behind-the-scenes peek at our ambassador workshop last year to learn more.

Join a network of fellow Mo Bros and Mo Sisters across Aotearoa. As an integral member of the Movember team, you champion our fundraising efforts and speak up about men’s health issues – whether it be hosting or helping at local community events, taking on your very own fundraising challenge, talking to the media, or even giving talks yourself. Being an ambassador is all about doing Movember your way.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a positive role model and ambassador for men’s health.
  • Drive awareness & fundraising in your workplace, on your social media, in your local community and beyond.
  • Volunteer at Movember events, and/or pursue opportunities to represent Movember in your community.
  • Have a fundraising target of at least $3,000.
  • Attend talks to share your personal story and potential media interviews, if interested.
  • The Ambassador role is a voluntary position, with most action taking place during our campaign period (September to December).

What will you receive?

  • Ambassador training.
  • Early access and invites to Movember activations/events.
  • Movember merchandise.
  • Ongoing support from the Movember team.
  • Group chat with all your fellow community ambassadors.

Skills you will gain:

  • Fundraising/Events organisation and hosting.
  • The opportunity to host talks and improve your public speaking.
  • Leadership skills.
