My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

I have lived with a condition called Dysthymia (persistent depressive disorder) for more than 25 years and came close to taking my own life because I felt I was alone, unable to talk and not a proper man. Men make up 3/4 of all suicides and 1 man dies every minute globally with 12 men every day in UK taking their own life

Movember focuses on men's health, raising the profile of men's health and making men more aware of what we need to look out for!

Thanks for helping me to support their vital work in saving men’s lives

One day to go! Raising money to prevent male suicide. One man every minute takes his own life and many more die a slower death with drug and alcohol addiction. Let’s take better care of our men and their mental health.

Hi James,

My name’s Owen, and I’m the CEO here at the Movember Foundation. I just wanted to get in touch personally to say congratulations and thank you, for kicking off your Movember in such a big way. £1,883 is fantastic!

To help you understand the impact of your efforts, our team have put together this video, it profiles some of the fantastic projects we’re currently funding here in the UK.

Keep up the great work, and if there’s anything at all that we can help you with please do get in touch with us at Mo HQ - info.uk@movember.com .

Mo on,
Owen

It is brilliant being able to run with people and for them to share why Movember is important to them! Ran with our business analyst intern Denver, today and he is very open about why it is good to talk. I do see a generational difference but still not to a level that we have this cracked so we still need to be men of more words and get the men in our lives to talk more!

Up in Blackpool for daughters dance competition. Have done 2 runs up here on the promenade and as it is Blackpool the Rock a Mo tag is appropriate. Thinking about why I was doing the challenge on my run and it is to support those who may be struggling right now. Reach out to someone who you are concerned about. It could change their lives.
