My motivation

Movember 2021.

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

So, for Movember this year I'm going to tackle a cycling challenge.

One of the biggest themes of Movember is mental health and suicide prevention. Checking in on your friends and doing something together is vital.

This year I'm going to be cycling 10 miles every day of the month.
Attempting to make the shape of a moustache on each ride.

Aswell as this, each Saturday of the month my good friend James and I will be competing against each other in challenges suggested by those who make donations.
These challenges will be live streamed so you join in and hopefully have a laugh at us making fools of ourselves!

Thanks in advance, you've all been amazing in the past years so let's smash this year's target too!

Hi Aaron,

I wanted to get in touch to say thank you for signing up for Movember 2021, it’s great to have you back!

It’s thanks to Mo legends like you that men at risk of becoming socially isolated following the global pandemic will be able to access new ways of receiving support for their mental health. £1.86million will be invested in 11 men’s health projects across the UK, Ireland, Australia & Canada over the next two years through Movember’s Social Connections Challenge.

If there is anything we can do to help make this Movember a success, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I hope you have a great month!

Owain Doull kindly shared his personal reasons for supporting Movember last year. He's given his backing to the 150 as well. He talks about why it's important to keep supporting others, and reaching out for help when facing mental health issues ourselves.

Ozzy from Mo HQ here. Welcome everyone to the inaugural Movember 150, we can’t wait to see how you’re going to take on your 150kms in Men’s Health Week. Thank you so much for your support.

It’s time to plan how you’re going to hit your distance and fundraising goals. You’ll also have the reward of our Movember water bottle for raising £100, and the cycle jersey for raising £500 – two great reasons to get your fundraising started!

If you have any questions, please email info.uk@movember.com or call 0207 952 2060. Good luck!

Hi Aaron,

Looks like you’re a natural when it comes to fundraising! Thanks so much for the support.

As a little token of our appreciation, and a sweet little incentive, Gillette are giving away free eight packs of razors for anyone who raises £500 or more by the end of the month. We reckon that goal’s well within sight for you so go on, send out that group message, put that status on Facebook, Tweet like you’ve never tweeted before – those donations will come rolling in and you might just earn yourself some of the finest razor hardware around.

Good luck, and a huge thank you again for your support.
