NZ Banking and Finance Challenge

$64,430

Target: $100,000
Our Motivation

Whether you’re a banker, accountant, finance whiz, or somewhere in between, it’s time to put your money where your Mo is. The Movember Banking Challenge 2025 is back with an aim of raising a $100k. Last year, ANZ’s Risky Whiskers took the crown last year, with BNZ hot on their heels, now it’s your team’s turn to step up, get creative with fundraising, and show the sector what real competition looks like. Mo’s optional, creativity encouraged, and bragging rights are up for grabs!

Banking Challenge crew — wowee, you’re nearly at the $50k mark with 10 days to go! The leaderboard is tight (BNZ and ANZ… big dogs doing big things, and a huge shoutout to Westpac who’ve come in hot for their first year — but honestly, every single team is bringing the heat. With a collective goal of $100k, you’re well on your way, and at this pace it’s still anyone’s guess who’ll come out on top. Massive thanks to all of you for the effort, the energy, and the Mos. Let’s finish strong.
United we Mo!

Ok teams, let get this Challenge started! We see you and I know a few of you are already in planning mode, we love you work! Your follicles must be quivering. Yeah, that happens. It’s called the acute Movember anticipation effect. Feels nice, right?

Movember is just around the corner and I'd love to hear what everyone has in the pipeline for this year. Drop a comment on this wall to inspire others within the banking and finance sector!

Banking is in my opinion the most important job in the economy.

We give income to people at or near the end of their careers when they have savings.

We help people fund the acquisition of assets like houses and cars. Some of the most important and expensive assets they will ever own.

We help everyone make and receive payments, we literally see the economy pass through the accounts we offer.

Investment bankers help people and firms make complex decisions about all sorts of assets.

I joined a predecessor of FINSIA over 30 years ago; became a Senior Fellow of that organisation and a Chartered Banker about 6 years ago.

In 2022 I helped Armillary and Toa Rangatira win the Debt deal of the Year.

But by joining this challenge - today - I’ve managed to get to the apex of Banking in NZ.

Doing good for mens health.
