In support of Henry Crew on his motorcycle journey around the world and the Movember Foundation Mike Gilbert, Executive Director of Beatnik Motorsport, will in August make the journey across the ditch to join Henry Crew on the Australian leg of his motorcycle journey, a ride better known as ‘35’000 miles’.

Mikes motivation to participate in this motorcycle ride is simple, he works in a male dominated industry in which men don’t talk enough.

Movember is a cause close to Mike’s heart with his WW2 Veteran Grandfather surviving the Great Depression and Prostate Cancer, bravely bringing up the ton before passing away.

Mike heard of Henrys trip circumnavigating the globe and thought there is no better tribute to such as inspirational man in his life and no better opportunity to enjoy an amazing journey while raising crucial funds and awareness for men's health.

Mike will join Henry and start the Australian leg in Perth, before travelling 5667 km’s across the country, spending 64.72 hours in the saddle, to the finish line in Brisbane. Along the way they will encompass media stops in Melbourne, at the Movember Australia HQ, and Sydney on days 8 and 11 of the journey, with an aim to increase exposure of Henrys amazing journey as well as funds and awareness for the Movember Foundation.

Through the significant awareness of this across the country ride, the recognition of the effort this will take from family and friends and the exposure at media days, Mike hopes to hit his fundraising target of $5000.
