My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Kia Ora all, this year I’m back with another fitness challenge to raise money for men’s mental health and suicide prevention. I will be fundraising through Movember NZ as I have used services that Movember supports, but I’m doing it for all my teina and tuakana, here in the UK and abroad.

You’ll have heard me say it before but it’s worth repeating. Just like our physical health, our mental health is a critical cog, which keeps us running at our best for our mates, our whanāu and ourselves. It’s easy to say but harder to live, because the world isn’t getting any easier to navigate. It’s enough to make us anxious, uncertain, unsteady or just straight up sad. So for those who are on their journey, those lucky ones at the destination and those who have yet to experience it, I want to make this small commitment, and ask you to support a great cause if you can!

I will be completing four half-marathon length events with some time goals over two days, on 17-18 Feb 24:
21.1 km - Running - sub 1:45
21.1 km - Row (Concept2 Erg) - sub 1:45
21.1 km - Assault Bike - sub 0:45
21.1 km - Ski-Erg (Concept2 Erg) - sub 2:00

I’ll be posting some advertisements and some updates on here and Instagram as I ramp up my training over the next month so keep an eye out. If you want to join in for parts of the events, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do!

This year for men’s mental health, I will be completing four half-marathons over two days in Feb - 21.1km running, rowing, skiing and on the assault bike. Stoked to get sweaty for a good cause!
