My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Hi, I’m Andre and for the best part of the last few years, I have suffered with my mental health.

Plain and simple.

For many who know me I am a personable and approachable character, a man who is humorous, provides a laugh, and is a caring friend. However, there is much more to this character...

I am a man who:
Has suffered incredibly dark times
Overthinks and stresses the small things turning them into much bigger worries
Has been bogged down in his own thoughts, troubled, spiraling out for days.
Worried about the perception of him from others and those closest to him.
Had to front a facade to hide the internal emotions, feelings, and opinions that we’re eating away his insides.

But I am a man who has ultimately spoken out on my troubles and has sought help. This is the best thing I could have ever done and is the best thing anyone of you can do - SPEAK out.

For some, it’s not as straightforward to seek the help they need. However, it doesn’t have to be complicated. I’m hoping by sharing a little slice of my story I am able to help more of those around me and hopefully, those people further afield who just need to have a yarn and let whatever it is off their chest.

All things been said, with November approaching I am putting my hand up and taking part in Movember. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young. 60 men around the world are dying every hour from mental health issues which can be reduced if we speak up and speak out.

As per I’ll be growing out my Mo for Movember, however, my main focus is to raise $1000 and bike 6km every hour for 24hrs alongside my good mate Nick. The 6km represents 6 out of 10 global suicides which come from men.

Please help me to help those other men in need.
