My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this November I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

"I'll be alright, I can handle it myself"
It's all to often that blokes can slap on the tough sticker and try ride out the situation on hand, stretching out for help is thought to be a weakness and so therefor internal pressure progresses while trying to stay bold on the outside.

This, I have seen an experienced myself through-out my farming career. Even small matters snowball and turn into bigger issues. Overthinking situations, erradic behavior, sleep deprivation, stressing out, memory loss and abusing the beers can further back us into the dark cave as the top 2 inches continues to burn out. Not addressing these issues properly, guilty, which drags out further then it ever should.
This, I believe, is relatable to everyone.

In this day and age, my passion for the rural community is getting furthered pressured through mounting policies to make farming even more straining. I don't want to see people out there struggling on their own, grinding themselves to the ground and fall into the hole that there's no future in farming. Its not just in the farming industry, its everywhere.

Through lacing up the Asics, it's a way to push myself to the absolute limits both physically and mentally. Its also a way to tick something off, that I have achieved something good, regardless of what sort of day I have had.

This run will be something else, it's a massive challenge facing me head on. To achieve it all I have to do is put one foot in front of the other, for a fair wee while. Something so simple, probably one of the first things we learnt, yet as we get older we tend to forget to keep moving forward.
Its going to be hard, its going to be draining, you'll see me in all sorts of pain but through pushing on there will be an ice-cream at the end.
Hopefully this run inspires someone to take action, to pick up that phone and make a call, to ask that question or even slip on the shoes and go for a trot. It may help them live another day, because everyone deserves a place in this world.
