My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm really privileged to be a committee member for MANA (Men's Awareness Network Aotearoa), an ANZ affinity group which focusses around men's mental health, physical wellbeing, and how that translates to the wellbeing and health of our wider Whanau, workplace, and tamariki.

I've had my own personal journey with mental health and supported others through their personal journeys, have lost friends to suicide, and have seen first hand the impact organisations like Movember can have.

I've shaved my beard of 3+ years and will be attempting to grow a mo for Movember. I'm also guilty of not committing to the exercise I know is amazing for my mental health so will be swimming 60km over Nov (~2km a day).

We all know times are tight - if you have a few dollars to spare, Movember is a fantastic cause. If not, this is a great reminder to check in on your buddies you haven't heard from in a while, make sure you're looking after yourself, and have the convo with the men in your life to make sure they have been keeping up with prostate and testicular cancer screening.
