My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

In 2024 we lost Alex’s father, Darrell, to prostate cancer.

Darrell was a true leader and, above all, a loving dad. For over 40 years, he ran a boutique landscaping company in Auckland, leaving behind countless incredible outdoor transformations across the city.

He fought a hard battle for more than two years, showing courage and determination until the very end. Losing Darrell was our first experience losing a loved one to cancer, and it opened our eyes to the devastating impact this disease has.

In his honour, we’re pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone, AGAIN. In 2025, we’re taking on a bold new challenge; surviving on Watchman Island for AS LONG AS WE CAN. This will be a test of our endurance, creativity, and determination - while we raise funds for Movember and awareness for men and families facing their own battles with prostate cancer and other men’s health issues.

Every dollar raised will make a difference. Just like last time, we’re doing this challenge to honour Darrell’s legacy and help others going through similar journeys.
