My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention
Testicular cancer

It’s Movember time again and that means it’s time for something drastic. After being diagnosed with testicular cancer myself last year, I took on Movember fundraising and raised over $13,000 by doing a 11km trek in full firefighters kit, and I have since become a Movember Community Ambassador. This year, to raise awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health & suicide, my fundraiser challenge will be 24 hours wearing Breathing Apparatus at the Akaroa Volunteer Fire Station from the 29th-30th of November. This won’t be easy so I’ll need some help from fellow firefighters to suit up and share the load, all in the name of Movember.
The brigade will be open to the public to show support for the challenge there will be a sausage sizzle and carwash fundraiser being run too, with our suited up firefighters doing the scrubbing and a range of other activities to witness.

Any donations for Movember will be greatly appreciated.
Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.
