My motivation

Why I’m Running 300km for Movember:

Men’s mental health is something I care about deeply. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how tough it can be for men to speak up, ask for help, or even acknowledge that they’re struggling. I’ve known a few runners who have taken their own lives. Strong, capable, driven men who, from the outside, seemed like they had it all together. It’s a reminder that mental health struggles don’t always look the way we expect.

Running has always been an outlet for me, a way to process thoughts, push through challenges, and find clarity. But not everyone gets that chance. That’s why, this Movember - from the 17th - 22nd - I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet: running 300km over six days to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health. That’s 50km a day, a distance that will test every part of me, just like mental health tests so many men every day.

This run isn’t just about me, it’s about starting conversations, breaking down stigma, and making sure no man feels like he has to fight his battles alone. If this challenge can inspire even one person to open up, seek support, or check in on a mate, then every step will be worth it.
