My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention
Men's health

Back in April of 2024 I attempted to take my own life. At the time I was 57 years old and was suffering with so much physical pain from a bad back as well as suffering from an open wound in my stomach that was created back in Jan of 2022 because of Sepsis. I believed that I was not good enough as a Husband, father and as a man. I would self harm as punishment, my mind took me to places that proved to me I was not good enough. And with a hammer I would hit myself.
Since April last year and with the love and support of my family, Friends, Rodney Mental Health, Ember, my church/faith and the Hibiscus Men Shed I have slowly found my way back. Slowly working on changing my believes understanding that I am good enough for myself and my family and friends.

Mental Health recovery is a long process and one in which you will always have to keep on working and improving. One way we can support each other is to have a better understanding of what goes wrong and how you can help. It all starts with a conversation, the more we talk, the more we can understand and the more we can help and support those who need our help.
Help me raise awareness and a little bit of money and keep Mens Mental Health front and Centre.
