My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.
Two years ago I moved away from the mullet and ran a marathon a week for the month. Last year I ran 200km in the month.

This year is a bit different. For every dollar donated, I’ll do one push-up and one sit-up. For every $100 raised, I’ll kick the booze for a week. If I get to $4,000, I’ll get a tattoo of the Movember moustache to permanently remind me of my stupidity. $5,000 raised and I’ll run the 2026 Auckland Marathon, and $7,500 earns me a swim to Rangitoto Island. This may well be my last Movember…

Hey Iain, thought I’d drop by to say a big hairy thanks for flying the flag for men’s health (again) this year. 13 years of dedication to Movember and backing men's health. Just know you are doing a whole lot of good for men!

You’re smashing your fundraising all in the name of a bloody important cause – to help men live happier, healthier and longer lives. Movember isn't over yet and you have already hit your KMs target! And check out that haircut and colour. Damn, that’s good-looking my friend.

There’s still plenty of fun to be had this Hairy Season so keep it up legend.
