Oh ok, off to a early start here are we teams, I see you and I love you work! Your follicles must be quivering. Yeah, that happens. It’s called the acute Movember anticipation effect. Feels nice, right?

Movember is just around the corner and I'd love to hear what everyone has in the pipeline for this year. Drop a comment on this wall to inspire others within the first responders. I know that South Bridge Fire Brigade taking on a 27kms walk wearing full fire fighting kit and BA – 25kgs!! Watch this space

"Unfortunately, while our gear provides us with some protection from the physiological risks inherent to firefighting, it does not protect us from the psychological risks that come with repeated exposure to potentially traumatic events. Here in New Zealand, we have lost firefighters to suicide.” – Josh Darby, Senior Firefighter

Can you believe we're halfway through the month already and you're smashing it. We're seeing some epic activity come through. Such as Stevie Devine (FENZ) Dares for Donations or Mark (NZ POLICE) doing 60 flights of stairs in a gas mask, weighted vest and carrying a jerry can. Please shout if there is anything we can do to support - alex.king@movember.com

Can you believe it's the last few days of Movember and what an incredible effort from the First Responders! From amazing physical challenges to sharing deeply personal stories, you have lead the way in being walking, talking, billboards for men's health. Check out the photo below from some the the NZ Police in Auckland completing their 50k run! Well done team, you should be incredibly proud of how you have come together as a sector and what you have achieved this year! Thank you

Happy 1st of Movember to all the First Responders out there and thanks so much for joining up to the First Responders Challenge, you're a legend!

What a cracking start to the month with almost 12k raised!

While we recommend resisting the urge to touch, stroke, fondle or feed the Mo’s, please don’t be shy when it comes to heaping on the praise and sharing what you're up to on your challenge pages. Feel free to post on some of the other teams pages too,
I can confirm that good-natured banter is proven to effectively increase Mo-lustre, potency and gains by upwards of 115%, 70% of the time. Every time.

Follicles quivering? Yeah, that happens. It’s called the acute Movember anticipation effect. Feels nice, right? The question is, who is going to be crowned winners of the '2021 First Responders Challenge' and walk away with the trophy and of course bragging rights?
Last year the NZDF were the highest fundraising organisation, raising an incredible $30,000 but it really is anyone's game. How are you planning to make this your best Movember yet?
