Mitre 10 Trade are back again for the 3rd year running as one of the major partners of the Movember campaign and men’s health in New Zealand. Mitre 10 Trade have raised over $100,000 to date for Movember through mobilising their network of stores and builders throughout the country, but their main goal is to make men’s health a priority for blokes.

The team again hosted their annual hot laps day at Pukekohe Raceway which has become a must do on the calendar, it was a fantastic way to celebrate the month of Movember and showcase the Mo’s on display while catching a ride in one of the Mitre 10 Trade sponsored vehicles. The day has also turned into one where many of the participants know the health tent will be present and use it as their opportunity to check in and see where their blood pressure and BMI is at compared to the previous year.

“The building industry is a significant employer of males so partnering Mitre 10 Trade with Movember gives us the opportunity to raise money and increase awareness of men’s health, to address this reluctance so prevalent among kiwi men. Too often, many of us blokes ignore our health issues and don’t deal with them when we should. That’s why we support Movember and we hope that by supporting this initiative in our stores, and by hosting this hot laps day that includes health checks, we can encourage our many male customers to be a bit more proactive about their health.” Said Mitre 10 General Manager Trade - Andrew Cochrane.
