My motivation

In 2023 I lost my younger brother Tom to suicide. He was a great brother, son and mate to those around him , who was struggling with mental health issues which ultimately pushed him to take his own life. He like many other young New Zealand men was fighting in silence with the issues not clear to those around him and that is something, in any way possible, I want to help ensure doesn’t have to happen for anyone else.

I’m raising funds in remembrance of Tom this Movember for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. I’ll be doing this by running, a pastime that has helped me on a personal level dealing with Tom’s passing. I will be running 565km throughout November (in FY2022/23 565 New Zealanders died by suspected suicide), an average of just under 19km per day. So please donate to support my efforts to raise funds for men’s mental health!
